Today's group of Scott Miller with Joseph Milazzo, Patrick Feeney and Jason Davis headed out early for a full day of Striped Bass Fishing with live herring. We started the day by jigging up over 100 Herring and then headed to the Bass grounds. The boys caught over 25 Bass and some Blues, only retaining their limits.

After a nice Thanksgiving the group of Johnny M, JRod and Steve M headed out early for a day of bottom fishing. They had limits of Bulldog Blacks to 9lbs, Sea Bass to 3lbs and Cod to 12lbs for an excellent day. The My Joyce II was back at the dock by 2pm after excellent fish in excellent weather.

Today's trip with the Steve Morro group and five friends left the dock early in search of Blackfish. In terrible conditions Capt. Kenny headed north to try and escape the wind which proved virtually impossible. After about 10 drops we ended up with some keeper Blackfish and plenty of throw backs.
We are still Blackfishing and bottom fishing and will be for the next couple of weeks. Striped Bass fishing on the herring has been excellent so call to book a trip before the end of the 2011 season. The My Joyce II headed out Black fishing with the group of Steve Schlinger, Steve Bento Kenny and Gil Parker. Fishing in the days rainy conditions was good with limits of Blacks to 10lbs, a bunch of knobhead Sea Bass and Blues.

The My Joyce left the dock at around 8am with Kenny, Steven and Danny in search of some Blackfish. The guys were rewarded and landed their limits. The weather during the early part of the week was fantastic as was fishing. Striped Bass fishing has picked up again and all bottom fishing remains excellent. This weekends weather saw high winds and wave heights forcing Capt. Kenny to cancel all trips on Saturday and Sunday. The My Joyce II had great conditions today for a full day of Blackfishing. The J Rod group had a limit of Blackfish to 10lb, Cod to 15lb and some Knothead Sea Bass to 3lbs. Fishing was so good we were back to the dock by 2pm. Now is the time to book your late Fall Blackfish and Cod trips. We have available dates so please call Capt. Ken @

Am Trip
Ted Bedenski and his group left the dock early on the My Joyce II. Mother nature did not let up as the forecast promised and the group spent the morning fishing in some pretty rough conditions.

PM Trip
We had plenty of Rod bending and much more favorable conditions this afternoon for the Nancy Webster group but the Bass did not cooperate. Nancy, Tom, Ruth and Sarah were great sports though and bailed the Bluefish and had a very enjoyable afternoon.

The My Joyce II too the group ofTony Cardeo group including his friend Jim Dimagio from Alasksa for some bass fishing. In very tough conditions they managed a couple of keeper Bass and a few Blues.

This mornings group wanted to go in search of Tog so Captain Kenny went back to yesterday's grounds in some uncomfortable morning conditions and was rewarded with limits of Blackfish, Porgies and an incidental catch of Blues. AM Trip
Captain Kenny left the dock at 7am with Jimmy V, Steven F and Billy S for a morning of Togging. The tide was favorable and all conditions were right resulting in EXCELLENT fishing, keeping our limits and releasing the rest. We also had a mix of Seabass (releasing all of course) and some Porgies. Capt. Kenny was back at the dock by 11.30 in time to get the boat ready for this afternoons Bass trip.
PM Trip
This afternoon the group of John Pyne, John Nordeman, Alexander M, Justin Waterman and Rich D went out in search of some quality Montauk Fall Bass. They were well rewarded with some nice Bass with the largest weighing in at 38lbs. All Bass were caught on live bait and the Blues action was slow.

Captain Kenny left the dock at a little after 9am with the group of Steven Schlinger, a good friend of Kenny's, his dad Stan, his older sons wife Kelly and two kids Jason and Rachel. Steven was married the next day in Montauk to his best friend and favorite fishing buddy Liz so it was a final single trip of sorts! Due to the late start they missed the tide and didn't land the Bass but were rewarded with plenty of Blues. Captain Kenny then outfitted the group with some Ultra light tackle and they bailed the false Albacore much to the delight of young Jason and Rachel. It was a great day on the water starting a weekend of celebrations. Unfortunately the wind howled in Montauk from Friday night to Sunday forcing Capt. Kenny to cancel this weekends trips. Captain Kenny took the group of Joel Wundenlych, Steven Parzyett and John Parzyett for a late day of live eel fishing for Bass. The morning was slow enough but fishing got better and better with the tide changes with everyone catching their limit. We played catch and release after that with the largest keeper weighing in at about 35lbs. Honorable mention goes to John today who caught the two largest Bass and his constant black cloud that his friends say he has was lifted from over his head.

Am Trip
Captain Kenny took the group of Tom Price, Sunny, Jimmy, Frank, Pete and Jessie in search of some Striped Bass. The morning action was slow but picked up when we had some tide caching some Bass and Blues. The biggest Bass for this mornings group weighed in at around 25lbs.

PM Trip
This afternoons trip of Kevin Brunet, Charles LaBella, Alberto Madera and Rocky Rivera left the dock at 1230 in better conditions than this morning. It started off slowly again like this morning but as the tide got stronger fishing improved tenfold. We had lock ad load action with a limit of Bass between 25 and 35lbs. 50.7 lb Monster Bass caught on the My Joyce II today!! Awesome day on the My Joyce II for Adam Maurin, Tom Maccardi ,Bob Matlick, Rob Parsons and Bob Bernando. Captain Kenny reports that the day started slowly with lots of Blues. As the tide picked up the fishing picked up with some beautiful Bass being caught. Bob Matlick broke the magic 50 pound mark landing a 50.7lb linesider. Also caught was a beauty 36lb Slob caught by Tom Macardi. The rest of todays group landed numerous nice Bass. We had a very enjoyable day with a great bunch of guys and great weather. We are booked all day tomorrow but have an opening on Sunday afternoon and open dates again from October 11th. Today's group of Johnny Mac, Jimmy" the Gaffer" Ristano, Paco and Tommy for a full day of Bass Fishing. Bassing was good in pretty nasty conditions with rain and fog through most of the day. We caught Bass and Blues to 28lbs and in the afternoon stopped and caught false Albacore up to 8lbs completing the Montauk Grand Slam. This morning Capt. Kenny had a half day charter for Tom Felice, his friends Ed, Gino and Bob. They had an EXCELLENT morning of live bait fishing for Striped Bass up to 34lbs with everyone limiting out by 7.15am. After playing catch and release for another hour we headed to the bottom fishing grounds where we caught jumbo Sea Bass up to 4.5lbs and platter sized Porgies. Great Day on the water. Today Captain Kenny took the group of Nick Rebel and friends to celebrate Nick's 20th Birthday. Nick saw some INCREDIBLE Bass action with his friend's Sean, Rich, Scott, James and Gino catching a limit of Stripers to 32lbs with 8 of these fish weighing in at between 20 and 30lbs. Saturday morning's trip left bright and early with the bachelor party group of Mike Dunney and friends. Mike, Bill, Charlie, Danny, Tim and Kevin had a great day of Montauk Grand Slam Fishing! We started at 6am with live eel fishing for Striped Bass catching Jumbo Bass to 35lbs. Later in the morning we switched to bottom fishing catching a bushel basket of Sea Bass and Porgies with Sea Bass to 3.5lbs and platter sized Porgies. During the late day we had Mike Dunney catch a beautiful false Albacore on ultra light tackle during slack tide. Switching back to Bass we had a good bite again catching 5 or 6 more Bass to 30 pounds. Of course we retained only our legal limit and headed back to the dock late in the day after many laughs, some good food and some great fishing.

Captain Kenny headed out bright and early this morning for a very long and very good day of fishing. The crew of John, Tommy, Poppo and Jeff began the day with lock and load action catching an abundance of large Sea bass and Porgies. After limiting out on Sea Bass and Porgies we headed to catch some Striped Bass. The guys landed a nice mix of Bass and Blues with Bass up to 18lbs and Blues to 12lbs. They went for an afternoon of live eel fishing in search of Bass and were rewarded with some real quality fish with nice monster Bass. After Monday's trip the unfavorable weather conditions kept us tied to the dock until today. Captain Kenny was delighted to go fishing today after this week and headed out bright and early. In pleasant conditions we took the group of Johnny mac, father and son team of Manny and Chris Paradiso and Jared for a day of LOCK AND LOAD bottom fishing with limits of Porgies and Sea Bass to 5lbs. On Monday morning Captain Kenny had the two man charter of Fred and his 10 year old son John for a morning of Bass fishing with Bass to 15lbs and loads of Blues up to 12lbs. Captain Kenny reports an afternoon of good action for his group of Phil Moran, his son Kyle and his friend Alec. They started the trip fishing at the point with nice action on Bass and Blues. The guys had Bass Limits with Bass up to 37lbs and Blues u to 15lbs. Alec landed a 37lb Striped Bass, his largest ever and Kyle landed a beautiful 27 pounder. An afternoon to remember for these two youngsters just before school starts.

AM Fishing Trip
On Wednesday morning Captain Kenny picked up his group in Block Island and took them bottom fishing south of Block. The group of Jason New, his wife Jennifer and their two kids Bailes and Clare had lock and load action of big Sea Bass and Porgies with a couple of Fluke mixed in.

PM Sunset Cruise
Captain kenny took the group of 6 ladies out on the boat tonight to celebrate Nancy's birthday. It was a beautiful night as we headed in to Fort Pond, only stopping by Gosman's to pick up sushi! We pulled up near Navy Road beach and enjoyed dinner and wine as we watched the sunset. It was a night to remember. This is an awesome way to celebrate any special occasion. Captain Kenny reports an excellent morning of Striped Bass Fishing. The rods were bent from the moment we got there to the end of the trip catching limits of Bass and plenty of blues. Today's group of Andy Willingham, Jeremy Brunelli, Miles Gillett , V Frissora and their friend went home with full coolers landing nice Bass to 16lbs and Blues to 14lbs.

On today's three quarter day trip Captain Kenny with Johnny Mac and Richie the Wizard spent the day bottom fishing. They were well rewarded with an immediate RED HOT Fluke bite landing a bunch of keepers with the largest caught by the wizard weighing in at 9lb 2oz. Way to go!! The guys also landed limits of porgies to 3lb and some Sea Biscuits.

AM Trip
This morning Captain Kenny took the group of Doug Buckminster, Cole Tevani and David, Andrew, Matthew and Brody Boucher to catch some Bass. We had excellent morning action with the rods bending throughout the morning with Bass to 15lb and tons of Blues also to 15lbs.

PM Trip
In the afternoon Steve Morro's group had an excellent afternoon of Fluke fishing with 5 nice keepers to 6lbs as well as some nice Sea Bass and Porgies mixed in.

Captain Kenny reports that todays group of Tom, Larry and Kalue left the dock at 7am in search of some nice bass and Blues. Unfortunately the bass decided to have lock jaw that day and refused to bite. Captain Kenny hit every spot and even stayed out late but to no avail. We landed some nice blues but those Bass were not eating.

Captain Kenny took Austin and Andre out this morning in search of some Bass. They had rough conditions but fishing was still decent. They got their Bass limit despite the rough rainy weather. Hats off to the two novice fishermen who never gave up and stayed at the rails all day.

We headed out this evening leaving the dock at 7pm and headed into Fort Pond. It was a beautiful evening on the water and the Hejducek, the Reville and the Donnelly families enjoyed their dinner under the stars. Captain Kenny had us back to the dock by 9pm. Captain Kenny took out the group of Todd Kremer, Dale Wagner and Shaun Wilet who were here all the way from West Virginia. They were treated to an excellent morning of Striped Bass fishing. This morning Captain Kenny took Ron Farnworth his son Craig and their friends John and Mark for a morning of Bassing. The guys were rewarded catching a bunch of Bass the largest weighing in at 34lbs. Craig landed the monster 34lbs catching his largest Bass ever. Then we ran over to the Fluke grounds catching some Fluke and Sea Bass up to 4lbs.

On todays morning charter Captain Kenny took the group of Rich Sirota, Bob Levine, Bob Stern, Jeff Thaler, Rich Stern and Rich's son in search of some big Striped Bass and alligator Blues. We had an afternoon charter today with Kevin his girlfriend Carine and friends Jimmy and Carol. Action was good, with plenty of Jumbo Porgies, Knothead Sea Bass and keeper Fluke up to 5lbs. Captain Kenny took Frank Dementri and his friends for a full day departing from Montauk. Bass Fishing was a little slow in the morning but bottom fishing was good with plenty of plate size Porgies and nice Sea Bass mixed in coming over the rails. Captain Kenny reports a good morning of Shark fishing. The group headed out at 6am and by 7am had a Thresher on the hook. After a couple of jumps we lost him. We went off again and hooked another one a couple of hours later. Johnny Boots Junior Caprino landed his first ever Thresher weighing in at around 150lbs and released him unharmed. Captain Kenny took us back to the dock by lunchtime. Reports from the afternoon tell of a continuing fantastic Shark bite. Full Report- Captain Kenny took Steve Schlinger and his fiance Liz for a great morning of inshore Shark fishing right off of the beach. Liz hooked up with a 150 pounder and Steven with one close to 200lbs. The best part was that they wanted to release both Sharks. Steven also caught a 25lb Bass to close out the day, returning to the dock by 10.30am. It was a beautiful morning with some exciting action. Stevens Thresher put up a great ariel display jumping at least 6 times.

Early Report-Captain Kenny has a shark trip back West fishing from Baypark. The early report is of plenty of action with Captain Kenny and crew landing and safely releasing two nice Thresher's by 9am. One was around 150lb with the other one around 200lbs. Check back later for a full report and some shots of today's action.

Captain Kenny had a late morning fluke trip this morning. The weather was wonderful and the action was good. We landed many Fluke but unfortunately mostly all were just a little under keeper size. Never the less a great day on the water was had by all with our three year old beginner landing her first Fluke!

Happy Fathers day to all! Sailing this am from Baypark Marina Keny took todays group of Dennis B, Dougie H and Glen Evans for the Fathers Day before lunch special. Live lining the bunker schools today for an impressive catch of large Stripers from 28 to 32 lbs with Dennis catching the largest. Captain Ken would like to give an honorable mention to todays crew who put on a super effort to catch the fish today.

We had a little snotty ride out but conditions improved and the weather was nice for the 2011 Hudson Anglers Shark Tournament. After coming in third last year Capt. Kenny wanted another good showing with his crew of Johnny Mac and Jimmy the Gaffer Ristano. Fishing was good, with plenty of Shark action catching and releasing an 80lb Mako and catching plenty of Bluedogs but that elusive Shark was not in the cards this year. Congratulations to all the winners. 2012 is on the way! Captain Kenny is now sailing the 33ft Custom JC from the Viking Dock in Montauk... Call for charters. Les Kertis came out again today with his grandson Justin and his friend Joe from the Pelican. Again we saw lock and load action with Bass to 34lb and Blues to 22lbs. Everyone caught their limit and they had plenty of catch and release. Please note the 23ft Seacraft My Joyce is now sailing from Baypark Marina in Oceanside NY. Captain kenny sailed today with the group of Kenny, Stu, Justin and Gary and they had lock in load action. Everyone caught their limits up to 35lbs , all caught on live bunker. We ended the day with 8 quality size fish from 25 to 35 lbs. Great day.

This morning Captain Kenny took out fishing regular Les kertes and his two buddies Al and Lou. It was a beautiful morning with steady fishing and Captan kenny did a lot of running around as the fish did not bite in all the usual places. The guys grounded out the day catching their limits with Bass up to 25lbs. All in all a good day.

Sunday morning saw a complete turn around from yesterday. Captain Kenny left in not to good weather conditions and headed to a completely different area. Today's group was Paul Dennis, his 16 year old son Blaise, his 13 year old son Garrett and his 11 year old son Quinn. The guys had early morning LOCK AND LOAD action with a limit of Bass between 26 and 34lbs!!. Serious Cow action in the morning. The moral of this week is while one day may see bad fishing the next day could be awesome!

Today I was going by my friend Glen Evans who brought along his friend Dennis and his lovely wife Michelle. Despite the pea soup fog we saw an awesome day of live line fishing. Michelle caught her first ever Striped Bass and managed to catch her limit also. You go Michelle! Glen and Dennis also had their limits keeping fish up to 31lbs.

Rich Sullivan came back again today for more fishing. For todays trip he was joined by his son in laws Jimmy and Mike. Again they took home their Bass limits with some nicely sized fish. The largest sizes from todays trip were 28 and 31 pounders with most fish being in the 20s.

Today Captain Kenny took the group of Howie Cohen, his son Hal and friend Mark Sacker for an EXCELLENT morning of fishing with everyone catching their limits up to 20 lbs by 7am. kenny and first mate Ronzo would like to thank the guys for a really enjoyable trip. Captain Kenny left the dock at 4am in thick fog. The fog did not hamper the fishing for Jerry Licastro and his buddy Mike and they caught their limits of Bass to 37lbs. Jerry caught his largest Bass to date weighing in a 37 pounder. A big congratulations to Jerry who has been trying to land a really big one on light tackle for a few years and today was that day!

Les Curtis, his grandson Justin and birthday boy Ed were todays charter. They had an EXCELLENT catch of Bass today with the largest six which we kept weighing between 22 and 28lbs with many releases. Young Justin caught his first big Bass weighing in at 28lbs. Good Job to Justin who also landed a 17.9lb Bluefish showing the older gents how its done! Today Captain Kenny took Rich Sullivan and his friends Paul and Chris who caught a nice mess of Bass up to 20lbs. Fishing definitely is showing signs of improvement after the full moon.

Fishing was a slow pick again today. While we saw plenty of Bluefish we only landed a couple of Bass. Today's crew of Kenny, Stu , Gary and his son Michael ended the day with Michael catching the largest Bass weighing in an 16 lbs.

Captain Kenny reports a FANTASTIC morning of fishing through the rain and wind. Everyone caught their limit with fish up to 30lbs. Anyone interested in some super Bass fishing call me. Even if you don't have enough people to charter call me and I will try and put a trip together.

Captain Kenny reports that fishing was very very tough today... You just can't sugar coat that, when it's bad it's bad. They stayed out until 11.30 am but things didn't improve. A very slow pick indeed, todays charter went home with a bag of fillets but did not catch their limit. Captain Kenny thinks that the moon was to blame for the fish not biting and expects things to improve really soon. Enjoy your weekend and talk to you all on Monday.

Captain Kenny reports another good day of Bass Fishing in the bay this morning. Our group of Ian and Hank Berger along with Phil Polito and Dan Lee caught their Bass limit, landing fish up to 22lbs. They also caught some nice fish that they caught and released. Out east in Montauk the My Joyce II is out of the water for some maintenance and to paint the bottom to get ready for the summer. Captain Kenny reports that Saturday's morning trip with Les and Spencer was good with both guys catching their limit. Fishing seems to be good in the early morning but we are seeing the bite slow down as the morning progresses. Captain Kenny expects fishing to definitely improve as the water warms up.

Captain Kenny sailed his first Striped Bass Trip of the year for 2011 and reports a good morning. The weather was beautiful but fishing was a little picky reports Captain Ken. Rich Sullivan and his friends Paul and Chris picked away at some nice Bass catching a couple of nice keepers up to 20lbs. A good time was had by all. Nice way to kick off the season!

The My Joyce headed out commercial Black Fishing on Saturday. Even though the conditions were not ideal Captain kenny found a nice spot over by Fishers and got on a nice pile. It was definitely a long hard day of work for Kenny and his two crew members but they kept at it and came back to the dock with about 22 Blackfish up to 8lbs. Captain Kenny sailed at 6am on Tuesday with a group of five guys in search of jumbo Sea Bass. Johnny Mac, Jeff, George F, Ronzo and Papo the fireman were not disappointed bailing the Sea Bass up to 5lbs. Along with their 80 plus keeper Sea Bass they caught a ton of Porgies which of course they returned unharmed as the season is closed and a nice mess of Blues. A very excellent day of Fall Sea Bass fishing at Block island was what the guys had hoped for and Captain Kenny did not disappoint them.

Captain Kenny is currently in Montauk and has been making some commercial trips for Blackfish and Sea Bass as well as a couple of Charters for Striped Bass. Fishing for all species has seen a lot of action as well as some really nice sized keepers.
Sea Bass reopens on November 1st and Black fishing and Cod Fishing are heating up so now is the perfect time to book a Fall Trip. Captain Kenny had a three quarter day charter on Thursday which he took out to catch some Bass and blues. Today's group of Chris Viggiano, Jim Christmas, Jim Sydor and Matt Sydor caught their limit of Bass and Blues. They even landed a false albacore in the mix.
Captain Kenny would like to remind you that he is heading north this week in search of some Giant Bluefin Tuna in MA. Glen Evans and his son Brian who was visiting from California took the My Joyce II out tonight with Captain Kenny to catch some Striped Bass. At the last minute they invited a buddy Chris to join them. Fishing started out very good and they landed seven Bass up to 28lbs right away. Of course they only retained their limit. Then the lightening storm struck and fishing dropped right out.

The My Joyce II left the dock at 6am this morning to go bottom fishing. Despite the wind they were rewarded well. Chris Paradiso and his sister Ashley were onboard with Johnny Mac who was back from Friday for even more fishing. A great day of fishing was had with tons of keeper Sea Bass and Porgies being landed. There were also a couple of Bluefish in the mix. Captain Kenny wants to remind you that jigging for Striped Bass and Blue fishing is awesome right now so call and book a trip.

Captain Kenny took some friends out last Saturday on a mixed bag trip in search of Sea Bass, Striped Bass, Scup and Fluke. Everyone caught their limit on Porgies. They also caught over a hundred Sea Bass up to 4lb, a couple of Fluke and some Bluefish. The group of Gill Parker, Chris Rutherford, Tommy Maloney, Johnny Mac, Pete and Richie the wizard had quite the day with Captain Kenny.

Am Bass and Blues- Captain Kenny and first mate Tyler headed on out this morning at 6 am in search of Striped Bass and Bluefish. Rob Crane and his friends were rewarded catching three nice size keeper Bass as well as a mess of Bluefish. The beautiful weather helped to make this a day to remember for all.

Pm Bass and Blues- This afternoons charter of Todd Costello and family also had some good action. They had a nice catch of Bluefish keeping three nice ones as well as some gorilla blues. Todd saw his son and daughter catch their first ever Striped Bass on todays trip. Remember the My Joyce II is a family oriented boat.

The My Joyce II left the dock bright and early at 5am in search of some sharks. Captain Kenny headed east in search of a nice Mako. Unfortunatly there was very little wind and no drift and we only ended up drifting about a half mile for the entire day. The Makos just did not bite. At the very end of the day we finally got a drift and caught and released a 200lb Blue Shark. A very enjoyable day was had by the wonderful gang of John, Lisa, Melanie and Rich. Captain Kenny would like to let you know that he has some great available dates over the next week.

Captain Kenny left the dock with the Kovitch family at around 11am to do some bottom fishing. They headed to a nice inshore spot in search of some Porgies and Sea Bass and were well rewarded catching a nice load of Humpback Porgies and jumbo Sea Bass. The Kovitch's eight year old son was high hook on todays trip catching a very impressive mix of fish which they took home for dinner.

Captain Kenny reports a steady day of shark fishing on day two of the tournament. Unfortunately there were no contenders! We released a small Mako as well as seven Blue Dogs... The weather was great and Captain Paul Forsberg kept us all entertained with his stories.

Not much action to report from Captain Kenny on the My Joyce II on day one of the Star Island Shark tournament. The daily prize was actually taken with a 109 lb Mako so shark fishing was pretty slow over all. The legendary Captain Paul Forsberg of the Viking Fishing Fleet is joining Captain Kenny and crew for Saturdays trip so watch this space!

Happy August!

Captain Kenny and crew are getting ready for this upcoming weekends Shark Tournament from Star Island Yacht Club in Montauk. After taking third place in the Hudson Anglers Shark Tournament in June with a 304lb Mako the guys are excited to get out there! We will keep you posted.
